Karude

Karude is the father of Kokari and he lives in a hut on an island in the middle of Agata Forest. Like Kokari he wears an animal skin coat however his is from a bear. He carries around a bow that he never uses.
He cannot see Amaterasu's divine markings but he realises that she is a wolf. He also mentions that she looks very like the wolf Shiranui.
He is very worried about the way his son is maturing. He thinks that he is growing up too soft hearting and is not tough like a forest man should be. He feels that he is not doing enough manly work and he has no sense of adventure as all he wants to do is spend time with his dog. However he has faith in his son and knows if he is given enough time he will toughen up.
He also travels to Kamiki Village for it's annual Moon Festival.
