Act 1 Part 10
"Cho Chang" is a song from A Very Potter Musical.
"Cho Chang" is a reprise of the song "Ginny" that Harry Potter (Darren Criss) sings to Ginny Weasley (Jaime Lyn Beatty). Although Harry sung the song for Ginny, it was originally meant for Cho Chang (Devin Lytle) and now Harry sings it to her. It's the same as the song "Ginny", but now Ginny's name is replaced with "Cho Chang".
Harry sings this song to Cho as a way of inviting her to the Yule Ball, having completely ignored Ginny's attempts at inviting Harry. He took the wreath, thanking her for giving it to him to give to Cho, and Ginny runs away heartbroken. Ignorant to Ginny's pain, Harry gives the wreath to Cho, and as a way of solidifying his request he sings to her, claiming it should claim her heart since it claimed the dragon's. Harry's efforts appear to have been in vain though, because Cho has already been asked to the Ball by Cedric Diggory (Tyler Brunsman), and Cho plans on going with him.
You're tall and fun and pretty
You're really, really skinny
I'm the Mickey to your Minnie
You're the Tigger to my Winnie*
You're cuter than a guinea pig
Wanna take you up to Winnipeg*
That's in Canada
Cho Cho Cho Cho China
Ching Chong Cho Chang!
- Note: Note that these are the lyrics listed online, and they are the lyrics from "Ginny", but in the actual show Harry says "You're the Mickey to my Minnie, I'm the Tigger to your Winnie." He also says "I'll take you up to Winnipeg", rather than "Wanna take you up to Winnipeg" like it says online.
